1. Plain Text Editors
Here are directions for inserting Madame Poot's HTML code using a plain text editor:
  • Use a browser to open your page: http://www.yourdomain.com/yourpage
  • Save As yourcopy.html on your local disk
  • Start an authoring tool (e.g. Notepad) and Open yourcopy.html
  • Copy and Paste* Madame Poot's HTML code and Save yourcopy.html
  • Use a browser to view the page and see your changes
  • Start an FTP client and open a connection to your server
  • Do you have permission to write to the Web server's page root?

    Yes: put yourcopy.html into the proper location using FTP.
    No: put yourcopy.html in your home directory and ask the system administrator or webmaster to move it for you.

2. Microsoft FrontPage
